Castro Urban Picnic signage up

We reported a few months back regarding Urban Picnic coming in to replace Zadin Restaurant (4039 18th Street). It looks like Urban Picnic is just about ready to open their doors. Signage is up above the entrance and on the door.

We emailed the owner and he seemed to indicate they would be open within the next month.

You didn’t mention Super Duper on Market St. IMHO they have the best hamburgers anywhere, My sister is an In and Out fanatic and she says Super Duper leaves them in the dust. As for Hot and Hunky the building owner took over the business got rid of all the gay employees and downgraded the quality of all the food to just above horrible. Then closed H&H when the customers stopped coming and basically demolished the building. His goal was to turn the building into the landlord special it is today.

Super Duper is excellent. Mini cheeseburger, fries, and choc shake are my once a month indulgence.

Also, for a splurge, Starbelly appears on several of the top 10 burgers in SF lists. It is excellent.

With a SF Environmental food and safety health rating in the 80′s I will pass.
Clean up your act Castro! Most restaurants in the “stro” have very low scores.
I guess cleanliness is not a priority in this town.
Soy based food. I will pass. NEXT
