Bandidos Restaurant set to open first week of August
A posting went up on Craigslist last week seeking experienced front of house staff for the new restaurant and tequila bar, Bandidos located in the ground floor retail space at The Century (2200 Market) at 15th and Market. Throughout the posting the restaurant’s owners (Dana Gleim and Jesse Woodward, Hi Tops) indicated they were looking for high professionalism from all wait staff for their fine dining casual restaurant,
Bandidos will offer patrons exquisite food presented with fine dining manners, but in a casual environment. All positions must have accelerated attention to detail and be able to provide excellent service. You must have a positive attitude, the ability to work well with others, and be able to speak eloquently about food. You need to be a team player, with a sense of urgency, efficiency, and a strong character.
As we previously reported, owner Jessie Woodward noted that the new restaurant would “not be a taqueria” and focus more on service with the eatery hosting 12 outdoor seats, 80 indoors seats, and a bar lounge.
We snapped a picture of the interior which shows a nice looking mural on the north wall featuring a collage of what appears to be Mexican Pesos. The restaurant’s name “Bandidos” is the Spanish word for bandit or outlaw. If the restaurant and tequila bar gets this format right, which we’re sure they will considering the success they’ve had with Hi Tops, the restaurants owners could make out like a bandit with Castro diners’ money.
The restaurant hopes to be open the first week in August and will be open 7 days a week for dinner service and weekend brunch service. Dinner service will run until 11PM on weeknights and until midnight on Friday and Saturday nights.
