The Castro Biscuit covers happenings in San Francisco’s beautiful and crazy Castro neighborhood. We currently have two bloggers/reporters, Roy and Waiyde, scouting around the Castro looking for the latest buzz.
Roy McKenzie – Founder / Managing Editor - Roy has been a Castro resident since 2010. He is a front-end developer by trade and is passionate about #DragQueens, #Bicycling, and #StarTrek. You can find him on Twitter or in the real world biking around the Castro or the Haight.
Waiyde Palmer – Contributing Editor - Waiyde loves San Francisco, social activism and punk rock(ers). His work has appeared in Handbook Magazine. SF Bay Times, The Advocate, Diseased Pariah News and American Music Press. He has an extensive and repeatedly redacted FBI file.
We’re happy to have some great community members who occasionally contribute their voices to the Biscuit: Liz Highleyman, Ken White, Jennifer Morris, and Brian Maier. If you’re interested in submitting a guest post, email us at email@example.com.
Why “Castro Biscuit”?
A good friend and myself (speaking as Roy here) were trying to come up with some clever names for this blog. Something that would be memorable and easy to spell. We came up with “Castro Biscuit” after about 10 or so names that were as equally nonsensical and decided that this was the most memorable. Catchy, eh?
